| Q. How
do I get more information and start the process of
planning a sleepover? |
| |
A. The easiest way to begin is by opening a new client account. You can
find this selection on our home page just below the log in
button. After you create a new client account go back to
the home page and log in with your email and password.
Next, select the "Add Pet" button and create a profile
for your pet(s). Plan a sleepover by selecting "Plan A
Sleepover" from menu on the left of the screen and
follow the prompts. This step in no way obligates you and
you may enter comments as well. Our coordinator will
contact you after we receive your information to answer
any questions you may have and walk you through the
process of how planning a sleepover for your pet works. As
an alternative to creating an account, please give us a
call and we will be happy to answer all your questions. |
| |
| Q.. How
do you select the host families? |
| |
A. First we ask
prospective hosts a series of questions in a phone
interview to determine if they qualify. Next, we
personally visit each host family at their home. We
conduct a second phase interview of the candidate, inspect
their home and yard, and answer their questions. All our
hosts are home full time. We select only those people to
whom we would entrust our own dogs - and we are very
choosy!
|
| |
| Q. Will I meet the host who will care
for my dog? |
| |
A. Absolutely.
When a pet parent establishes an account and plans
a sleepover on our website or calls us, our coordinators
ask a few questions to identify the particular needs of
the pet and his family. The coordinator uses that
information to select a host family that best meets those
needs. Then the coordinator arranges a telephone interview
between the pet parent and the host. If both the host and
the pet parent are satisfied with the preliminary match,
the host invites the client over to meet them. When the
match is approved, our coordinator will complete the
reservation.
Although we offer a pick-up and drop-off service to our pet parents, we
encourage them to drop off their pets themselves for the
first visit. That way they can meet the host in person and
see the home in which the pet will stay. We also encourage
all of our pet parents to leave their pet for one day of
daycare with the host family before leaving the pet for
any extended period of time.
